I-75 construction update

 

Hamilton County (Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014) –  Construction work on I-75 will require the following closures Wednesday, Dec. 10 through Saturday, Dec. 13:

 

Closures for the railroad bridge replacement project located south of the Norwood Lateral are as follows:

 

Wednesday, Dec. 10

Closure of SR 562 ramp to southbound I-75 at 9 p.m., with single  lane closure on north and southbound I-75 beginning at 8 p.m., followed by double lane closure at 11 p.m. with all lanes reopened to traffic by 6 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 11 Rolling road closure on southbound I-75 scheduled to accommodate relocation of crane.

 

Thursday, Dec. 11

Closure of SR 562 ramp to southbound I-75 at 9 p.m.; followed by full closure of southbound I-75 at 11 p.m. with all lanes reopened to traffic by 6 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12. Suggested detour is west on I-275 to east on I-74 to I-75. The ramp from southbound I-75 to eastbound SR 562 will be open to traffic as well.

 

Friday, Dec. 12

Closure of SR 562 ramp to southbound I-75 at 9 p.m.; followed by full closure of southbound I-75 at 11 p.m. with all lanes reopened to traffic by 8 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13. Suggested detour is west on I-275 to east on I-74 to I-75. The ramp from southbound I-75 to eastbound SR 562 will be open to traffic as well.

 

Saturday, Dec. 13

Closure of SR 562 ramp to southbound I-75 at 9 p.m., with single lane closure on southbound I-75 beginning at 8 p.m., followed by double lane closure at 11 p.m. with all lanes reopened to traffic by 8 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 14.

 

Closures for the I-75/Hopple Interchange project are as follows:

 

Wednesday, Dec. 10

Double left lane closure on northbound I-75, beginning at 9 p.m.; closure of ramp from northbound I-75 to Hopple Street closed, beginning at 10 p.m. with all lanes reopened to traffic by 6 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 11.

Thursday, Dec. 11

Double left lane closure on southbound I-75, beginning at 9 p.m., with rolling road block beginning at midnight. All lanes reopened to traffic by 6 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12.

 

All work is dependent on the weather. Traffic will be maintained with law enforcement officers, and arrow boards and signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming closure and detour. To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.​
