This week’s I-75 lane closures for construction work
Hamilton County (Monday, April 29, 2013) - Work to reconstruct and improve the Interstate 75/Hopple Street interchange will require the following closures the week of April 29:
Left and right lane closures on north and southbound I-75 will be in place with a single lane closure permitted from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., followed by a double lane closure from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
The ramp from eastbound Hopple Street to northbound I-75 will be closed from 10 p.m. Tuesday, April 30 to 5 a.m. Wednesday, May 1 for delivery of materials.
In addition, flagging operations will be in place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on various side streets to accommodate staging of equipment and delivery of materials. One-lane closures on Bates Avenue and ramp shoulder closures may be in place between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., as well.
Arrow boards and signs are in place prior to the work zone to alert motorists of the upcoming lane closures.
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
