I-75/Hopple
construction update

County
(Thursday, April 23, 2015) – Work on the I-75/Hopple interchange will
require the following lane and ramp closures
tonight:

Single
right lane closure on northbound I-75 between the Marshall Avenue bridge and the
ramp to I-74, beginning at 8 p.m., followed by a double lane closure at 10
p.m., with all lanes reopening to traffic by 6 a.m. Friday, April 24. Also, the
new ramp from the Hopple Street bridge to westbound I-74 will be closed beginning
at 10 p.m. tonight, reopening by 5 a.m. the following day.

On
Friday, April 24, the right lane of eastbound Hopple Street will be closed from
9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for fence installation. Also, a single lane closure will be in
place on southbound I-75 between the Mitchell Avenue and Harrison Avenue exits,
beginning at 8 p.m., followed by a double lane closure at 10 p.m., with all
lanes reopening to traffic by 6 a.m. Saturday,
April 25.
Arrow
boards and/or signs will also be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming
work zone and all work is dependent upon weather.
To
help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling
public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped
traffic while passing through the work zone.
