Interstate 75/I-74 Major Reconstruction project
update
Hamilton County (Thursday,
Nov. 15, 2018) - Work on the I-75/I-74 Major Reconstruction Project includes the following restrictions:
Thursday,
Nov. 15: Lane closure on north I-75
from Monmouth Street to Clifton Avenue from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. Friday, Nov.
16.
Friday,
Nov. 16:
- Close the ramp from north I-75 to west I-74 from 10
p.m. until 5 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17. Traffic will be detoured to the
Mitchell Avenue exit to south I-75 to west I-74.
- Close the ramp from Hopple Street to west I-74 from 10
p.m. until 5 a.m. Saturday. Traffic will be detoured to the Mitchell
Avenue exit to south I-75 to west I-74.
- Lane closure on west I-74 from I-75 to Colerain Avenue
from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 18.
- Short-term full closures on west I-74 from I-75 to
Colerain Avenue between midnight and 4 a.m. Saturday. Traffic will be
maintained with law enforcement officers.
Saturday,
Nov. 17:
- Continued lane closure on west I-74 from I-75 to
Colerain Avenue until 6 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 18.
- Close the ramp from west I-74 to Colerain Avenue from
10 p.m. until 5 a.m. Sunday.
- Short-term full closures on west I-74 from I-75 to
Colerain Avenue from midnight until 4 a.m. Sunday. Traffic will be
maintained with law enforcement officers.
- Lane closure on north I-75 from Monmouth Street to
Ludlow Avenue from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. Sunday. Also, lane closure on south
I-75 from Mitchell Avenue to Monmouth Street from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. Sunday.
Once complete, traffic will be switched
placing the work zone on the inside shoulder with the traveling lanes shifted
to the outside shoulder.
Sunday,
Nov. 18: Lane closure on west I-74
from I-75 to Colerain Avenue from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. Monday, Nov. 19. Also,
lane closure on east I-74 from Montana Avenue to I-75 from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m.
Monday. In addition, short-term full closures on west I-74 from I-75 to
Colerain Avenue from midnight until 4 a.m. Monday.
Monday,
Nov. 19 and Tuesday, Nov. 20: Lane closure
on west I-74 from I-75 to Colerain Avenue from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. the
following day. Also, lane closure on east I-74 from Montana Avenue to I-75 from
8 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following day.
No work will take place from Wednesday
morning, Nov. 21 through Monday morning, Nov. 26 due to the Thanksgiving Day
holiday.
Arrow boards and/or
signs will alert motorists of the work zone and restrictions. All
work is contingent upon the weather.
To help ensure the
safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists
should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while
passing through the work zone. Remember, move over or slow down.
