Mitchell Avenue lane closures scheduled
Hamilton County (Tuesday, April 22, 2014) – This week, pavement work at the I-75/Mitchell Avenue construction site will require lane closures on Mitchell Avenue beginning tonight:
Tuesday, April 22: Single lane closure in each direction of Mitchell Avenue from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Wednesday, April 23. Also, traffic will be switched onto temporary pavement on the entrance and exit ramps to and from northbound I-75.
Wednesday, April 23: Single lane closure in each direction of Mitchell Avenue from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Thursday, April 24.
Thursday, April 24: Work to implement a traffic switch from the southbound I-75 ramps to Mitchell Avenue will take place beginning at 8 p.m. The right slip ramp from southbound I-75 to westbound Mitchell Avenue will be closed with motorists required to execute a right turn at the traffic signal.
Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming lane closures.
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
