I-74/SR 128 ramp, lane closures scheduled week of Jan. 16
 
Hamilton County (Friday, Jan. 13, 2012) –The placement of bridge beams will require ramp and lane closures at Interstate 74/1-275 and State Route 128 next week.
 
The State Route 128 ramp to westbound Interstate 74 will be closed to traffic each night from Monday, Jan. 16 to Thursday, Jan., 19, beginning at midnight and continuing until 5 a.m. the following day. In addition, the right lane of westbound I-74 will be closed during this time frame, while closures of 30-minute intervals are scheduled for SR 128 at I-74.
Local law enforcement officers will be posted at each intersection to assist during these closures. In addition, one emergency lane will be maintained. 
 
The detour for northbound SR 128 traffic is east on I-74 to the Harrison/Rybolt Road exit (No. 11).  Turn left on Harrison Avenue, right onto westbound I-74 and continue to the SR 128 off-ramp (Exit 7).  At the end of the ramp, turn right and continue north on SR 128. 
 
The detour for southbound SR 128 traffic is east on Harrison Avenue to left onto westbound I-74 to Dry Fork Road (Exit 3) to eastbound  I-74 to southbound SR 128.
 
Arrow boards and signs will be in place prior to the work zone to alert motorists of the upcoming road closure.   To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
