Interstate 275 Repaving and Bridge Work project

Traffic Switch Scheduled
Hamilton County (Thursday,
April 25, 2019) - In order to switch the contraflow lane into
a new phase for construction, the following restrictions will be in place next
week:
- Close exits 71 (U.S. 52/East Kellogg Avenue) and 72
(U.S. 52/Kellogg Avenue) from 9 p.m. Monday, April 29 until 6 a.m.
Tuesday, April 30. The Kellogg Avenue ramp to east I-275 will also be
closed. The detour uses exit 69 (File Mile Road) to west I-275. The
contraflow lane will remain open; speed limit in this area will be reduced
to 50 mph.
- Close the left lane of west I-275 from Four Mile Road
to the Kentucky side of the Combs-Hehl Bridge nightly from 7 p.m. until 6
a.m. Monday, April 29 through Friday morning, May 3.
- Single lane closure on east I-275 from the Kentucky
side of the Combs-Hehl Bridge to Four Mile Road nightly from 7 p.m. until
6 a.m. Monday through Friday.
- Close the left lane of west I-275 from Four Mile Road
to the Kentucky side of the Combs-Hehl Bridge daily from 9 a.m. until 2
p.m. Monday through Friday.
- Single lane closure on east I-275 from the Kentucky
side of the Combs-Hehl Bridge to Four Mile Road daily from 9 a.m. until 2
p.m. Monday through Friday.
On Sunday, May 5, the contraflow lane
will be switched from the Kentucky into Ohio configuration into the Ohio into
Kentucky configuration.
The following restrictions remain
in place for trucks:
- 10’ wide
- 75’ overall length
- Weight restriction of 120,000 lbs.

Arrow boards and/or signs will alert
motorists of the work zone and restrictions. All work is contingent upon the
weather.
To help ensure the safety of the
construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain
alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through
the work zone.
