Interstate 71/Western Row Road project update
Warren County (Wednesday, June 28, 2017) Phase 1 traffic shift on north and
southbound I-71 will start this week with various nightly lane closures.
Beginning each night at
8 p.m. Wednesday, June 28 and Thursday, June 29, various lane closures on north
and southbound I-71 between Kings Mills and Western Row roads until 7 a.m. the
following day. Once complete, north and southbound traffic will be shifted to
the left (inside) by one lane, using the left shoulder as the high speed lane.
This pattern will be maintained for at least one year, allowing crews to work
on the outside.
Arrow boards and/or
signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming work zone, lane
closures and traffic shift.
To help ensure the
safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists
should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while
passing through the work zone.
