Interstate 71 Repaving Projects Update
Hamilton County (Friday, June 15, 2018) - There will be various lane
and ramp closures as part of the Interstate 71 repaving projects from the Lytle
Tunnel to State Route 126. These closures include:
- Close the ramp from north I-71
to east/west SR 562 nightly from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following day,
Monday, June 18 through Friday, June 22. Only one ramp will be closed at a
time.
- Right lane closure on north
I-71 from Ridge Road to SR 126 nightly from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. the
following day, Monday, June 18 through Saturday, June 23. Lane closures
will begin two hours after completion of the Cincinnati Reds games.
- Various lane closures on south
I-71 between Reading Road and the Lytle Tunnel nightly from 8 p.m. until 6
a.m the following day, Monday, June 18 through Saturday, June 23.
- Various lane closures on north
I-71 between the Lytle Tunnel and Reading Road nightly from 8 p.m. until 6
a.m. the following day, Monday, June 18 through Saturday, June 23. Lane
closures will begin two hours after completion of the Cincinnati Reds
games.
- Close the ramp from Fifth
Street to north I-71 from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following day,
Wednesday, June 20 through Friday, June 22.
- Close the ramp from south I-71
to Reading Road from 10 p.m. Friday, June 22 until 5 a.m. Saturday, June
23.
- Continued reduced bridge
clearance for the east SR 562 to Ridge Road and north I-71 and from north
I-71 to west SR 562 ramps through Saturday, June 30.
Arrow boards and/or
signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming restrictions.
To help ensure the
safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists
should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while
passing through the work zone.
