Interstate 71 Repaving Projects Update

Hamilton County (Friday, June 29, 2018) - There will be various lane and ramp closures as part of the Interstate 71 repaving projects from the Lytle Tunnel to State Route 126. These closures include:
  • Various full closures of the ramps at north I-71 and State Route 562 nightly from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Sunday, July 1 through Saturday, July 7. Only one ramp will be closed at a time. There will be no closures on Wednesday, July 4.
  • Various lane restrictions on south I-71 from Reading Road to the Lytle Tunnel from 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 2 until 6 a.m. Wednesday, July 3.
  • Various left lane closures on north I-71 from Ridge Avenue to SR 126 nightly from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. Monday, July 2; Thursday, July 5; and Friday, July 6 through Saturday morning, July 7.
  • Various lane closures on north I-71 from the Lytle Tunnel to Reading Road nightly from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. Thursday, July 5 and Friday, July 6.
  • Continued reduced bridge clearance for the east SR 562 to Ridge Road and north I-71 and from north I-71 to west SR 562 ramps through Saturday, June 30.
North I-71 lane closures will begin two hours after completion of the Cincinnati Reds games. 
Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming restrictions. All work is contingent upon weather. 
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
