Interstate 71 Repaving Projects Update
Hamilton County (Friday, July 13, 2018) - There will be various lane and
ramp closures as part of the Interstate 71 repaving projects from the Lytle
Tunnel to State Route 126 next week. These closures include:
- Various lane closures on north
and south I-71 between the Lytle Tunnel and SR 126 nightly from 8 p.m.
until 6 a.m. Sunday, July 15 through Saturday, July 21.
- Close the ramp from Reading
Road to north I-71 nightly from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Tuesday, July 17
through Friday, July 20. The detour uses Reading Road, Martin Luther King,
Jr., Blvd. and I-71.
- Continued reduced bridge
clearance for the east SR 562 to Ridge Road and north I-71 and from north
I-71 to west SR 562 ramps through Saturday, July 28.
Arrow boards and/or signs
will alert motorists of the upcoming restrictions. All work is contingent upon
weather.
To help ensure the
safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists
should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while
passing through the work zone.
