Interstate 71 Repaving project update
Hamilton County (Thursday, July 19, 2018) - Work on the Interstate 71
repaving project requires the following restrictions:
Monday,
July 23 through Thursday, July 26 - Close
the right lane of south I-71 from I-471 to the Lytle Tunnel; close the
south I-71 ramp to south I-471 and the Reading/Liberty ramp to south
I-471 nightly from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following day. Traffic will be
detoured using Reading, Sycamore and Fifth streets.
Tuesday,
July 24 through Saturday, July 28 - Close
the Fifth Street ramp to north I-71 nightly from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. the
following day. Traffic will be detoured using Pike, Fourth, Walnut and Second
streets.
Also, nightly closures
on Eggleston Avenue, Culvert and Sentinel streets from 6 p.m. until 6 a.m.
Monday, July 23 through Saturday, July 28. Traffic will be maintained.
Arrow boards and/or
signs are in place to alert motorists of the upcoming work zone and
restrictions. All work is contingent upon the weather.
To help ensure the
safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists
should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while
passing through the work zone.
