Interstate 71 Repaving Projects Update
Hamilton County (Friday, July 20, 2018) - There will be various lane
and ramp closures as part of the Interstate 71 repaving projects from the Lytle
Tunnel to State Route 126 next week. These closures include:
- Close the ramp from north I-471
to the north I-71/Liberty Street ramp from 9 p.m. Sunday, July 22 until 5
a.m. Monday, July 23.
- Various lane closures on north
and south I-71 between the Lytle Tunnel and SR 126 nightly from 8 p.m.
until 6 a.m. Monday, July 23 through Saturday, July 28.
- Close the ramp from north I-71
to east/west SR 562 nightly from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Monday, July 23
through Saturday, July 28. Only one ramp at a time will be closed.
- Close the ramp from Reading
Road to north I-71 nightly from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Friday, July 27 and if
needed, Saturday, July 28. The detour uses Reading Road, Martin Luther
King, Jr., Blvd. and I-71.
- Continued reduced bridge
clearance for the east SR 562 to Ridge Road and north I-71 and from north
I-71 to west SR 562 ramps through Saturday, July 28.
Arrow boards and/or
signs will alert motorists of the upcoming restrictions. All work is contingent
upon weather.
To help ensure the
safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists
should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while
passing through the work zone.
