Interstate 71 bridge deck replacement project
update
Hamilton County (Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017) - The I-71 bridge deck replacement
project requires the following lane and ramp closures:
Various nightly lane
closures on north and southbound I-71, north of the Lytle Tunnel, from 10 p.m.
until 5 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 14 through Friday morning, Nov. 17. In addition, various short-term closures of
the Fifth Street on ramp to northbound I-71, the Third Street off ramp to
southbound I-71 and the Reading Road on ramp to southbound I-71 during these
times.
Also, the left lanes of
north and southbound I-71 will be closed from 10 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20 until 5
a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21. The southbound I-471 ramp from southbound I-71 will be
closed during this time.
Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of
the upcoming work zone and restrictions. All work is contingent upon weather.
To help ensure the
safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists
should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while
passing through the work zone.
