Interstate 71 lane and ramp closures scheduled
 
Hamilton County (Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016) –Work on Interstate 71 north of the Lytle Tunnel requires the following lane and ramp closures beginning tonight.
 
The right two lanes of northbound I-71/I-75 will be closed beginning at the 4th Street on ramp in Covington, Kentucky, across the bridge and through the tunnel beginning at 9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15 until 5 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16. The 4th Street on ramp and eastbound U.S. 50 will remain open, as will northbound I-75 to SR 562.
 
In addition, close the southbound I-471 ramp from southbound I-71 and Reading Road/Liberty Street at 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17 reopening at 5 a.m. the following day. Also, close the right lane of  southbound I-71 from just south of the crossover to the tunnel from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
 
In addition, two lanes of westbound Eggleston Avenue will be closed and detoured to Sentinel Street to Reedy Street from 6 p.m. until approximately 7 a.m.
 
Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the work zone, lane and ramp restrictions.
 
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
