Interstate 71 lane closures scheduled for bridge work
Warren County (Monday, Feb. 1, 2016) – Bridge work requires lane closures on Interstate 71 at the Jeremiah Morrow Bridge this week.
The left lanes of north and southbound I-71 will be closed from 7:30 a.m. until noon Thursday, Feb. 4. During the lane closures, there will be various short-term full closures in both directions for equipment relocation. Traffic will be maintained with law enforcement officers.
The lane closures will be in place between the Wilmington Road and State Route 123 exits and traffic delays may be lengthy. All work is weather dependent.
Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming lane closures. To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
