Interstate 71 paving project update 

Hamilton County (Friday, Aug. 18, 2017) - Continuous pavement work requires nightly lane and ramp closures on Interstate 71 beginning next week. 
Bridge overlay work requires closing the eastbound SR 562 ramp to Ridge Road from 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 18 until 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 21. The detour will be posted.
Various nightly lane closures on north and southbound Interstate 71 between Dana Avenue and Ridge Road, beginning at 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 20 until 6 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 26. Also, pavement work requires various closures of the Smith/Edwards Road ramps, one ramp at a time, beginning at 9 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 20 through 5 a.m. Friday, Aug. 25.
**Continuous left lane closure on southbound I-71 between Ridge Road and Dana Avenue beginning at 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8 through 6 a.m. Monday, Sept. 11.
In addition, the Ridge Road/Kennedy Avenue ramp to southbound I-71 will be closed beginning 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8 through 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 11.**
Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming work zone and restrictions.
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
