Interstate 71 repaving projects update

Hamilton County (Friday, June 1, 2018) - There will be various lane restrictions as a result of work on the Interstate 71 repaving projects that run from the Lytle Tunnel to State Route 126. These restrictions include:
  • Right lane closure on north I-71 from Ridge Road to SR 126 from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following day, Monday, June 4, Thursday, June 7 and Friday, June 8.
  • Various lane closures on south I-71 between Reading Road and the Lytle Tunnel nightly from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m the following day, Tuesday, June 5 through Friday, June 8.
  • Various lane closures on north I-71 between the Lytle Tunnel and Reading Road nightly from 8 p.m. Monday, June 4 until 6 a.m. Saturday, June 9.
  • CONTINUOUS right lane closure on south I-71 from Reading Road to the Lytle Tunnel from 8 p.m. Friday, June 1 through 6 a.m. Monday, June 4. SOUTH I-71 WILL BE REDUCED TO TWO LANES.
  • Continued reduced bridge clearance for the east SR 562 to Ridge Road and north I-71 and from north I-71 to west SR 562 ramps through Saturday, June 30.
All work is contingent upon weather. Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming restrictions.
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
