Interstate 71/Lytle Tunnel project update

Interstate 71/Lytle Tunnel project update

Hamilton County (Wednesday, June 29, 2016) – Work on the I-71/Lytle Tunnel project requires closing the Second Street ramp to northbound I-71 beginning next week.

Beginning at 10 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, the ramp will be closed for 60 days. The detour will be Main Street to the Fifth Street ramp to I-71.

Two lanes of northbound I-71 traffic will be maintained.

Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming ramp closure. All work is dependent upon weather.

To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
