Interstate 71/Lytle Tunnel project update
Hamilton County (Thursday, July 20, 2017) - There will be nightly full
closures of the southbound Interstate 71 lanes through the Lytle Tunnel this
weekend to allow for testing and calibration of the newly
installed lights. There will be no access to northbound I-75 or westbound
U.S. 50; please use I-471 or SR 562 to I-75.
The full closures will
occur from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. each night Friday, July 21 and Saturday, July 22
and from 9 p.m. Sunday, July 23 until 5 a.m. Monday, July 24.
Arrow boards and/or
signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming work zone and full
closure.
To help ensure the
safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists
should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while
passing through the work zone.
