Interstate 71/Lytle Tunnel project update
 
Hamilton County (Monday, Sept. 12, 2016) – Work on the ceiling of the I-71/Lytle Tunnel project requires various lane closures of northbound I-71 just before, through and after the tunnel each week night beginning at 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following day the week of Sept. 12.
 
As a reminder, various lane closures will also be on southbound I-71 from approximately the Gilbert/Reading exit to just before the Lytle Tunnel from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 13.
 
Access from East Liberty Street to southbound I-471 will be closed from midnight Wednesday, Sept. 14 until 5 a.m. Thursday, Sept 15.
 
Lane closures will also be in effect each night from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following day Monday, Sept. 19 through Wednesday, Sept. 21.
 
Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming lane closures. Please remember that all work is dependent upon weather.
 
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
