REMINDER
Interstate 71/Lytle Tunnel project update
Hamilton County (Monday, Nov. 27, 2017) - Work in the Interstate
71 Lytle Tunnel requires the following I-71/Lytle Tunnel full closures:
Close southbound I-71
at Ohio exit No. 2 and through the Tunnel from 10 p.m. Monday, Nov. 27 until 5
a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28. All traffic will be diverted onto I-471 and
detoured across westbound I-275 to I-71/I-75. The alternate route is State
Route 562 to I-75.
Close northbound I-71
at the I-71/75 split, at Ohio exit No. 1, from 10 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28 until 5
a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29. All traffic will be diverted to northbound I-75 and
detoured across eastbound SR 562 to I-71. In addition, along eastbound Fort
Washington Way (I-71/U.S. 50), there will be no access into the Tunnel; U.S. 50
will remain open.
Arrow boards and/or
signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming work zone and
restrictions. All work is contingent upon the weather.
To help ensure the
safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists
should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while
passing through the work zone.
