Interstate 71/MLK project update
 
Hamilton County (Friday, Sept. 30, 2016) – Work on the Interstate 71/Martin Luther King full interchange project requires the following restrictions.
 
Thursday, Oct. 6: Close the McMillan Street on ramp to northbound I-71 from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following day. The detour will use Gilbert Avenue, Elsinore Place and I-71.
 
Monday, Oct. 10: Close eastbound Martin Luther King Drive from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following day. The detour will use Reading Road, Lincoln Avenue and Gilbert Avenue.
 
Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming work zone and closures. Please remember that all work is dependent upon weather.
 
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.

The Ohio Department of Transportation maintains the state's largest man-made asset--the transportation system. The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by ODOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 11, 2015, and executed by FHWA and ODOT.
