Interstate
71/Lytle Tunnel project update
Hamilton
County (Tuesday,
Feb. 21, 2017) – Work
on the Interstate 71/Lytle Tunnel project requires various short-term rolling
and lane closures on I-71 near the Lytle Tunnel this week.
Wednesday
Feb. 22:
Various short-term rolling closures on north and southbound I-71 from 10 p.m. until
approximately 5 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 23. Also, the right lane of northbound I-71
will remain closed until 5 a.m. Thursday.
Thursday, Feb. 23 and Friday, Feb. 24: Right lane
closures on north and southbound I-71 from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. Friday, Feb. 24
and Saturday, Feb. 25.
If
necessary to complete scheduled work, there will be right lane closures on
north and southbound I-71 from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following Monday,
Feb. 27 and Tuesday, Feb. 28.
Traffic
will be maintained with local law enforcement officers. Arrow boards and/or
signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming short-term rolling
and lane restrictions. All work is dependent upon weather.
To
help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling
public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped
traffic while passing through the work zone.
