Interstate 71/MLK project
update
Hamilton County
(Friday, June 9, 2017)
– Bridge work on the
Interstate 71/MLK project requires the following restrictions next week:
Full closure of
Lincoln Avenue between May Street and Winslow Avenue, from 9 a.m. Monday, June
12 until 9 a.m. Monday, June 19. The detour uses Lincoln Avenue, Winslow
Avenue, Oak Street and May Street.
In addition, single lane
closure on east and westbound Martin Luther King Drive between Burnet Avenue
and Mentor Street nightly from 7 p.m. Sunday, June 11 through 6 a.m. Saturday,
June 17.
Arrow boards
and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the work zone and full
closure. All work is dependent upon weather.
To help ensure the
safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists
should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while
passing through the work zone.
