Interstate 75 Thru the Valley
Lane closures scheduled

Hamilton County (Monday, May 30, 2017) – Phases 1 and 2 of the Thru the Valley project begin this week on Interstate 75 between Glendale-Milford Road and Shepherd Lane, within the villages of Evendale, Lockland and Lincoln Heights, and Springfield and Sycamore townships.

Beginning at 8 p.m. tonight, various single lane closures on east and westbound Glendale-Milford Road and Shepherd Avenue through 5 a.m. the following day. These lane closures will be in effect each week night through June 9.

Phase 1 reconstructs the interstate between Shepherd Avenue and Glendale-Milford Road, including redesign of the Shepherd Lane interchange, removal of the collector distributor system, and improvements to the Glendale-Milford interchange.

Phase 2 will construct local roadway connection between Shepherd and Glendale-Milford, through General Electric at Neuman Way.

The $96.7 million project, awarded to the John R. Jurgensen Company, has an estimated completion date of June, 2020.

Traffic will be maintained and all work is contingent upon weather. Arrow boards and/or signs are in place to alert motorists of the upcoming work zone.

To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
