Interstate 75 ramp and lane closures scheduled

Interstate 75 ramp and lane closures scheduled for new ramp configuration

Hamilton County (Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2017) - Various ramp and lane closures and a traffic pattern shift on southbound I-75 are scheduled next week.
To relocate an overhead sign and open a new ramp configuration, various lane closures will be in place on southbound I-75 from south of Union Center Boulevard to the I-275 split. Lane closures will begin at 8 p.m. through 6 a.m. the following day, Thursday, Oct. 12 and Friday, Oct. 13.
In addition, beginning at 8 p.m. Friday, crews will begin to shift traffic to its permanent phase to access the new ramp from southbound I-75 to eastbound I-275; traffic will be maintained.
Also, the ramp from I-75 southbound to east and westbound I-275 will be closed for sign truss removal beginning at 11 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14.
Lane widths remain reduced; please expect some delays while drivers become familiar with the new traffic pattern and ramp.
Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming work zone and restrictions.
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
