Interstate 75 Bridge Deck Overlay Project Update
Hamilton County (Monday,
Aug. 26, 2019) - Bridge work on the Liberty Street bridge requires
closing the right three lanes of southbound Interstate 75, from Hopple Street
to south of Ezzard Charles Drive, beginning at 10 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26 through
5 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27.
The following ramps
will also be closed during this time:
- Western Hills Viaduct entrance ramp to southbound I-75
- Southbound I-75 exit to Western Avenue/Liberty Street
- Southbound I-75 exit to Ezzard Charles Drive
Traffic delays are
expected along southbound I-75 and eastbound I-74. Detour information will
be posted.
Arrow boards and/or
signs will alert motorists of the work zone and restrictions. All work is
contingent upon the weather.
To help ensure the safety of the
construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain
alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through
the work zone.
