REVISED Interstate 75 full closure scheduled

 

REVISED - Nightly full closures of Interstate 75 scheduled

THE FULL CLOSURE SCHEDULED FOR WED., FEB. 3 WILL NOW TAKE PLACE THURS., FEB. 4 DUE TO PREDICTED WEATHER.

Hamilton County (Friday, Jan. 30, 2015) – Bridge work will require nightly full closures of northbound Interstate 75 between the Mitchell  Avenue and Norwood Lateral interchanges Monday, Feb. 2, Tuesday, Feb. 3, Wednesday, Feb. 4 and Friday, Feb. 6.

The closure is scheduled from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night, weather permitting. The detour is northbound I-75 to westbound I-74 to eastbound I-275 back to I-75.

Also, there will be a single lane closure on northbound I-75 at the Norwood Lateral beginning at 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, with a double lane closure at 11 p.m. All lanes will be reopen to traffic by 6 a.m. Friday, Feb. 6.

Work is weather permitting.

Arrow boards and signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming closures. To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
