Interstate 75 traffic pattern switch scheduled

I-75 traffic switch scheduled for Tuesday

Hamilton County (Monday, Dec. 19, 2016) – A traffic switch on northbound Interstate 75 requires various lane closures on Tuesday, Dec. 20.  This activity was originally scheduled for Monday, Dec. 19.

Beginning at 9 p.m. Tuesday Dec. 20, various left lane closures on northbound I-75 will be in effect between Mitchell Avenue (Exit 6) and the Norwood Lateral (Exit 7).

Once complete, all lanes of northbound I-75 will be shifted onto the southbound side, creating a bi-directional flow pattern until approximately the end of August, 2017. Ramps will be maintained during work, and all lanes will be open to traffic by 6 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21.

Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the work zone and lane closures.

To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
