Interstate 75/I-74 Major Reconstruction Project
Update Traffic Shift
Hamilton County (Monday,
Nov. 5, 2018) - The first
stage of construction on the I-75/I-74 Major Reconstruction Project includes pavement resurfacing, bridge deck
patching, and drainage improvements on west I-74 from I-75 to Beekman Street.
Monday,
Nov. 5 - Lane closure on Elmore
Street under the I-74 overpass from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6.
Tuesday,
Nov 6 - Lane closures on west I-74 from I-75
to Colerain Avenue and on east I-74 from Montana Avenue to I-75 from 8 p.m.
until 6 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7. Also, close the ramp from west I-74 to Colerain
Avenue (exit 18) from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.
In addition, short-term full closures on
west I-74 from I-75 to Colerain Avenue from midnight until 4 a.m. Traffic will
be maintained with law enforcement officers.
Wednesday,
Nov. 7 - Traffic switch on west I-74 requires the following: Lane closures on west
I-74 from I-75 to Colerain Avenue and on east I-74 from Montana Avenue to I-75
from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8. Also, lane closure on Elmore Street under I-74
overpass from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m.
Once complete, the work zone will be in the center of west I-74
lanes. One lane of traffic remains on the inside shoulder and one lane is shifted
to the outside shoulder.
Thursday,
Nov. 8 and Friday, Nov. 9 - Lane closures on north I-75 from Monmouth
Street to Ludlow Avenue and on south
I-75 from Mitchell Avenue to Monmouth Street from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. the
following day Also, lane closures on west I-74 from I-75 to Colerain Avenue and
on east I-74 from Montana Avenue to I-75 from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. Lane closure
on Elmore Street under I-74 overpass from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m.
Saturday,
Nov. 10 - Lane closures on north I-75 from
Monmouth Street to Ludlow Avenue and on south I-75 from Mitchell Avenue to
Monmouth Street from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 11.
Arrow boards and/or
signs will alert motorists of the work zone and restrictions. All
work is contingent upon the weather.
To help ensure the
safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists
should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while
passing through the work zone. Remember, move over or slow down.
