Interstate 75/I-74 Major Reconstruction Project Update

 

Hamilton County (Friday, Nov. 30, 2018) - Work on the I-75/I-74 Major Reconstruction Project includes the following restrictions:
Friday, Nov. 30:
  • Various lane closures on north I-75 from Monmouth Street to Clifton Avenue and on south I-75 from Mitchell Avenue to Monmouth Street from 8 p.m. until 9:30 a.m.
  • Lane closure on west I-74 from I-75 to Colerain Avenue and on east I-74 from Montana Avenue to I-75 from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m.
Saturday, Dec. 1
  • Lane closure on north I-75 from Monmouth Street to Clifton Avenue from 7 p.m. until noon Sunday. Also, lane closure on south I-75 from Mitchell Avenue to Monmouth Street from 7 p.m. until 11 a.m. Sunday.
  • Lane closure on east I-74 from Montana Avenue to I-75 and on west I-74 from I-75 to Colerain Avenue from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m.
Sunday, Dec. 2
  • Lane closure on north I-75 from Monmouth Street to Clifton Avenue from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. Monday.
Monday, Dec. 3
  • Lane closure on north I-75 from Monmouth Street to Clifton Avenue from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. Tuesday.
    • Traffic will be shifted to the inside (west) and lane widths will be reduced to 11 feet.
Tuesday, Dec. 4
  • Lane closure on lane closure on south I-75 from Mitchell Avenue to Monmouth Street from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. Wednesday.
    • Traffic will be shifted to the inside (east) from just south of Clifton Avenue to the I-74 interchange. At the I-74 interchange, south I-75 traffic will transition to the outside (west) for work in the middle lanes of south I-75. Traffic will then transition to the inside (east) from just south of the I-74 interchange to Monmouth.
    • Lane widths will be reduced to 11 feet.
Arrow boards and/or signs will alert motorists of the work zone and restrictions. All work is contingent upon the weather.
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone. Remember, move over or slow down.
