Interstate 75/I-74 Major Reconstruction project
update
Hamilton County (Wednesday,
Jan. 9, 2019) - The first stage of construction on the
I-75/I-74 Major Reconstruction Project includes
pavement resurfacing, bridge deck patching, and drainage improvements on west
I-74 from I-75 to Beekman Street.
Wednesday, Jan. 9:
- Various lane closures on north I-75 from Monmouth Street
to Mitchell Avenue and south I-75 from Mitchell Avenue to I-74 from 8 p.m.
until 6 a.m.
- Single lane closure on east I-74 from Montana Avenue to
the I-74/I-75 split from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m.
- Short-term full closures on I-75 between midnight and 4
a.m. Traffic will be maintained by law enforcement officers.
No work is scheduled for Thursday or
Friday.
Arrow
boards and/or signs will alert motorists of the work zone and restrictions. All
work is contingent upon the weather.
To help ensure the
safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists
should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while
passing through the work zone. Remember, move over or slow down.
