Interstate 75/I-74 Major Reconstruction Project Update

Hamilton County (Thursday, Dec. 20, 2018) - The first stage of construction on the I-75/I-74 Major Reconstruction Project includes pavement resurfacing, bridge deck patching, and drainage improvements on west I-74 from I-75 to Beekman Street.
Thursday, Dec. 20: Various lane closures on north I-75 from Monmouth Street to Mitchell Avenue from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m.
Friday, Dec. 21:
  • Various lane closures on north and south I-75 between Mitchell Avenue and Monmouth Street from 8 p.m. until 9:30 a.m.
  • Close the ramp from east I-74 to north I-75 from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The detour uses south I-75 to Western Avenue/Liberty Street (Exit 2A) to left on Findlay Street to north on Winchell Avenue to north I-75. 
  • Close the ramp from Hopple Street to north I-75 from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained. 
  • Short-term full closures on east and west I-74 and north and south I-75 for equipment relocation between midnight and 4 a.m. Law enforcement officers will maintain traffic.
Saturday, Dec. 22:
  • Various lane closures on south I-75 from Mitchell Avenue to Monmouth Street from 7 p.m. until noon.
  • Short-term full closures on east and west I-74 and north and south I-75 for equipment relocation between midnight and 4 a.m. Law enforcement officers will maintain traffic.
Wednesday, Dec. 26 and Thursday, Dec. 27:
  • Various lane closures on south I-75 from Mitchell Avenue to Monmouth Street from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m.
  • Short-term full closures on east and west I-74 and north and south I-75 for equipment relocation between midnight and 4 a.m. Law enforcement officers will maintain traffic.
Arrow boards and/or signs will alert motorists of the work zone and restrictions. All work is contingent upon the weather.
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone. Remember, move over or slow down.
