Interstate 75/Thru the Valley Project Update
Hamilton County (Monday, Aug. 27, 2018) - The Interstate 75/Thru
the Valley project requires the following restrictions:
Various lane closures
on north and south I-75 between Shepherd Avenue and Sharon Road nightly from 8
p.m. until 6 a.m. Monday, Aug. 27 through Thursday, Aug. 30. Traffic will be
maintained.
Short-term full
closures on north and south I-75 between Shepherd Avenue and Glendale Milford
Road nightly from 12:01 a.m. until 4 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28 through Thursday,
Aug. 30. Traffic will be maintained with law enforcement officers.
As a reminder, the Magnolia Drive entrance/exit to the south I-75
Collector is permanently closed. The detour uses Magnolia Drive to Mangham Drive to Shepherd Avenue to south
I-75 using the new temporary ramp to south I-75 from Shepherd Avenue. To travel onto north I-75, use south I-75 to
Galbraith Road to north I-75. This detour will be in place until the new Vision
Way Bridge opens to traffic in fall 2020.
Also, the existing ramp
to south I-75 from Shepherd Avenue is temporarily closed until spring 2019. The
detour uses the new ramp from Shepherd Avenue at Old West Forrer Avenue.
The new temporary ramp to south I-75 from
Shepherd Avenue at Old West Forrer Road is open to traffic until spring 2019.
Arrow boards and/or signs are in place to alert motorists of the
upcoming work zone and restrictions. All work is contingent upon the weather.
To help ensure the
safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists
should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while
passing through the work zone. Move over or slow down.
