Hamilton
County (Wednesday, October 2, 2019)
– As part of a bridge rehabilitation project on Interstate 75, work on the
Liberty Street bridge will require lane restrictions on southbound I-75
this weekend, October 4 through 7.
The left, three
lanes of southbound I-75 will be closed from the Hopple Street interchange
to just south of Ezzard Charles Drive, and the restrictions will go into
effect beginning at 9 p.m. Friday, October 4, and continue through 6 a.m.
Monday, October 7.
I-75 will remain
open to one lane throughout the weekend, and exits to Hopple, Harrison,
Western/Liberty and Ezzard Charles Drive, affected by the work zone, will remain
open as well. However, traffic delays should be expected, and motorists to
downtown Cincinnati are advised to use alternate routes
In addition to
rehabilitating the southbound structure over Liberty Street, the project
also includes rehabilitating the deck of the bridge over Bank Street. Although
the project has an interim completion that would allow this weekend’s work
to be completed next year, the current condition of the pavement warrants
the project be completed this fall. The project, though, is weather-sensitive,
so crews from Complete General Construction will complete the overlay while
the temperature is conducive.
To help ensure the
safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public,
motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped
traffic while passing through the work zone.

construction and weather-related information, please check www.OHGO.com.
