Lytle Tunnel work requires Third Street ramp closure

Hamilton County (Wednesday, April 6, 2016) – Lighting and concrete work in the Lytle Tunnel will require closing the Third Street ramp this weekend.

The Third Street off ramp from southbound Interstate 71 will be closed beginning at 9 p.m. Saturday, April 9, and will remain closed for 20 days.

The detour is Gilbert Avenue (Exit 2) continuing onto Eighth Street to left (south) on Sycamore Street to Third Street.

Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place prior to the work zone to alert motorists of the upcoming ramp closure.

To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
