Morgan Road at I-74 Closed

Morgan Road at Interstate 74 closed for 60 days

Hamilton County (Friday, Aug. 1, 2012) – Bridge work is requiring the closure of Morgan Road at Interstate 74 for 60 days.
This work is part of a project to rehabilitate four I-74 bridges, including the bridge over Dry Fork Road, the bridge over Dry Fork Creek and the bridge over Harrison Road.

The detour for the Morgan Road closure is State Route 128 to Harrison Road.
Dry Fork Road at I-74, which closed earlier this week, is scheduled to reopen Saturday, Aug. 4.

Work on each bridge will consist of hydrodemolition of each bridge's existing  decks, placement of a new concrete overlay on each bridge and painting of structural steel on each.

Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming work zone and bridge closures.

To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
