New traffic configuration for westbound US 50

New traffic configuration slated for westbound U.S. 50
HAMILTON COUNTY (Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013) As work continues on the widening and reconstruction of U.S. 50,  a new traffic configuration will be in place for westbound River Road traffic at its intersection with Evans Street.
Westbound traffic will be shifted to the north onto newly completed pavement by late Friday afternoon, Oct. 11. Westbound traffic will continue to be able to access westbound U.S. 50 or the westbound Elberon ramp. The eastbound traffic pattern will remain unchanged.
In addition, after a month of construction, Evans Street at River Road will reopen to right-in and right-out traffic on Sunday, Oct. 13.
Message boards, arrow boards and/or signs are in place to alert motorists of the upcoming changes.
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
