North Interstate 71/Lytle Tunnel closures
scheduled
Hamilton County (Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2018) - Maintenance and inspection work
require the following north Interstate 71/Lytle Tunnel full closures this
weekend:
Close northbound I-71
at the Lytle Tunnel nightly from 10 p.m. until 8 a.m. the following day, Friday,
Aug. 24 and Saturday, Aug. 25. All traffic will be detoured using north I-75,
east SR 562 and I-71.
Also, double lane
closures on east Fort Washington Way (I-71/U.S. 50) during this time; U.S. 50
will remain open.
Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of
the upcoming work zone and restrictions. All work is contingent upon the
weather.
To help ensure the
safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists
should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while
passing through the work zone.
