Olive Branch Road closure scheduled for bridge work
Warren County (Tuesday, May 9, 2017) – Bridge work requires closing Olive Branch Road, north of Wilmington Road and over Interstate 71, beginning Monday, May 15 for 120 days.
The road will be closed in order to complete bridge work on Olive Branch Road over I-71, including abutment upgrades, patching, painting the superstructure, sealing the bridge deck and remaining concrete on the structure.
Traffic will be detoured using Wilmington Road, North Clarksville Road, Oregonia Road and Jeffery Road.
In addition, various lane closures will be in effect on north and southbound I-71 at Olive Branch Road from 7 p.m. to 9 a.m., Monday through Friday, and from 4 p.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming work zone and road closure.
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
