Public information meeting scheduled
for Lytle Tunnel improvements

HAMILTON COUNTY (Tuesday, July 9, 2013) -  A proposed project to improve the Lytle Tunnel ventilation system is the subject of a public information meeting scheduled for later this month.
The Ohio Department of Transportation, in cooperation with Federal Highway Administration, will host this meeting which is scheduled Tuesday, July 23 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Guilford Institute, 421 E. Fourth St., Cincinnati.
The purpose of this meeting is to provide an opportunity for the public to review and comment on the planned project.  The meeting will be held in an “open house” format which permits attendees to visit at their convenience during the designated time to review the display boards illustrating the project, as well as to discuss the project individually with project team representatives.
The meeting will also include two formal presentations to provide a brief explanation of project details and schedule, and to permit comments from the public. These presentations, which will provide the same information, will be at 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.
This project involves replacing the existing ventilation system located underneath Lytle Park, and performing other related maintenance items.
Much of the work involved for this project will occur within the existing right-of-way limits of Lytle Park and will affect some on-street parking locations. Construction will have impacts to the availability of some park facilities.
ODOT is currently working on the design plans for this project. The start of construction is scheduled for April 2014.
