REMINDER
Interstate 74/North Bend Road bridge project update
 
Hamilton County (Monday, Jan. 30, 2017) – Bridge work requires the following lane and ramp closures next week.
 
Monday, Jan. 30: Close the ramp from southbound North Bend Road to eastbound Interstate 74 with various lane closures on eastbound I-74 beginning at 9 p.m. In addition, short-term rolling closures on eastbound I-74 and the North Bend Road ramps. Traffic will be maintained with law enforcement officers and all lanes and ramps will reopen to traffic by 6 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31.
 
Tuesday, Jan. 31: Close the ramp from northbound North Bend Road to westbound I-74 with various lane closures on westbound I-74 beginning at 9 p.m. In addition, short-term full closure on westbound I-74 and the ramp from southbound North Bend Road to westbound I-74. Traffic will be maintained with law enforcement officers and all lanes and ramps will reopen to traffic by 6 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1.
 
Also on Tuesday, there will be a lane closure on eastbound I-74 just before the North Bend Road ramp for delivery of bridge beams. This lane closure will be in effect from 2 p.m. until approximately 6 p.m.
 
Wednesday, Feb. 1 and Thursday, Feb. 2: Close the ramp from northbound North Bend Road to westbound I-74 with various lane closures on westbound I-74 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 2.
 
Friday, Feb. 3: Various  lane closures on east and westbound I-74 at North Bend Road from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 4.
 
The travelling public should expect delays in the area. A local northbound alternate route has been posted by the Hamilton County Engineer’s Office from North Bend Road to Boomer Road to Race Road to West Fork Road to North Bend Road.
 
Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming work zone.
 
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
