Interstate 71 repaving project update

CONTINUOUS RIGHT LANE CLOSURE CANCELLED

Hamilton County (Friday, May 18, 2018) - There will be various lane restrictions as a result of work on the Interstate 71 repaving project that runs from the Lytle Tunnel to north of State Route 562. These restrictions include:
  • Various left lane closures on north I-71 nightly from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. Thursday, May 17 through Saturday, May 19. Closures will occur two hours after end of the Reds game.
  • Continued reduced bridge clearance for the east SR 562 to Ridge Road and north I-71 and from north I-71 to west SR 562 ramps.
  • Single lane closures on north and south Reading Road between Liberty and McMillan streets nightly from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. Monday, May 14 through Saturday, May 19.
  • CONTINUOUS right lane closure on south I-71 from Reading Road to the Lytle Tunnel from 8 p.m. Friday, May 18 through 6 a.m. Monday, May 21. SOUTH I-71 WILL BE REDUCED TO TWO LANES.
All work is contingent upon weather. Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming restrictions.
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
