Interstate 71/Lytle Tunnel project update 

Hamilton County (Friday, June 15, 2018) - Work on the Interstate 71/Lytle Tunnel project requires the following full closure:
  • Full closure of north I-71 from the Fourth Street on ramp in Covington, KY, across east Fort Washington Way, including the Second Street on ramp to north I-71 and through the Lytle Tunnel, from 10 p.m. Friday, June 15 through 5 a.m. Saturday, June 16. The detour uses north I-75 to SR 562. In addition, the south I-75 ramp to Third Street will reopen to traffic by 5 a.m. Saturday morning
Arrow boards and/or signs are in place to alert motorists of the upcoming work zone and restrictions. All work is contingent upon the weather.
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
