Update Traffic Shift Scheduled
Hamilton County (Wednesday,
Oct. 31, 2018) - WORK PREVIOUSLY SCHEDULED FOR TONIGHT AND
TOMORROW NIGHT IS CANCELED DUE TO THE WEATHER.
THE TRAFFIC SHIFT ORIGINALLY SCHEDULED FOR TONIGHT WILL
NOW TAKE PLACE FRIDAY, NOV. 2.
The first stage of
construction on the I-75/I-74 Major Reconstruction Project includes pavement resurfacing, bridge deck
patching, and drainage improvements on west I-74 from I-75 to Beekman Street.
Friday,
Nov. 2: Traffic switch placing the
work zone in the center of westbound I-74 lanes. One lane of traffic remains on
the inside shoulder and one lane is shifted to the outside shoulder. Signs and
traffic control devices will be used to direct and maintain traffic.
- Lane closure on west I-74 from I-75 to Colerain Avenue
from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m.
- Lane closure on Elmore Street under the I-74 overpass
from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m.
Arrow boards and/or
signs will alert motorists of the work zone and restrictions. All
work is contingent upon the weather.
To help ensure the
safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists
should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while
passing through the work zone. Remember, move over or slow down.
