Interstate 71/State Route 562 lane closures to start tonight
Hamilton County (Friday, April 22, 2016) – Bridge painting requires lane closures on Interstate 71 and State Route 562 starting tonight.
Various single and double lane closures on northbound I-71 from SR 562 to Ridge Avenue beginning at 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, reopening by 5 a.m. the following day. Lane closures will also be in place on the ramp from SR 562 to Ridge Avenue during this time.
These lane closures will be in place seven nights a week for approximately one month, switching to either north or southbound I-71, and traffic will be maintained. Advisories will be updated accordingly. The work originally scheduled for northbound I-71 Friday, April 22 is cancelled due to the Cincinnati Reds baseball game. Lane closures will be in place on southbound I-71 as noted.
Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place prior to the work zone to alert motorists of the upcoming work zone and lane closures.
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
