Interstate 71 Repaving Project Update - Traffic
Switch Scheduled
Hamilton County (Wednesday,
May 8, 2019) - The Interstate 71 Repaving project requires the
following lane and ramp closures to implement a traffic switch:
Various lane closures
on south Interstate 71 between Kenwood Road and State Route 562 from 8 p.m.
Friday, May 10 until 7 a.m. Saturday, May 11.
In addition, the ramp
from Stewart Road to south I-71 and the ramp from Red Bank Road to south I-71
will be closed from 10 p.m Friday until 5 a.m. Saturday.
Also, the ramp from
Kennedy Avenue to north and south I-71 will be closed from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.
the following day Monday, May 13 and Tuesday, May 14.
Short-term full
closures of the ramp from Stewart Road to south I-71 and the ramp from Red Bank
road to south I-71 between midnight and 4 a.m. Wednesday, May 15. Traffic will
be maintained with law enforcement officers.
Once complete Wednesday
morning, south I-71 traffic from Kenwood Road to SR 562 will be switched from
the inside lanes to the outside lanes.
Arrow boards and/or
signs will alert motorists of the work zone and restrictions. All work is
contingent upon the weather.
To help ensure the safety of the
construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain
alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through
the work zone.
