S.R. 123 Slide Repair Scheduled to Begin Next Week

Warren County (Thursday, October 10, 2019) - Construction is scheduled to begin on state Route 123, following its closure between SR 132 and U.S. 22/SR 3 in the spring due to a landslide.
Crews from Eclipse Company, LLC are scheduled to begin the week of October 14 to repair the slide that is just south of Todd Fork and near Township Road 52 (Roachester-Cozaddale Road). The project will include regrading the slope, embankment and drainage work, as well as replacing the existing culvert, installing guardrail and repairing the pavement.
The route will remain closed during construction, and the posted detour will remain in place, whereby motorists will continue to be detoured via SR 132, County Road 45 (Middleboro Road) and US 22/SR 3.
A contract was awarded to Eclipse Company, LLC in the amount of $399,736.24, and with an interim completion this fall, crews are scheduled to have the route open to traffic by November 25.
