Red Lion SR 123 Closure to Begin Sept. 17

U
SR 123 closure to begin Sept. 17
Warren County (Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012) – As work proceeds on the Red Lion-Five Points intersection realignment project, State Route 123 between Greentree Road and SR 122 will be closed to traffic for 28 days, beginning Monday, Sept. 17.
Northbound SR 123 traffic will be detoured to the SR 741/122/123 intersection via Greentree Road and SR 741. Local traffic requiring access to SR 123 near the Five Point intersection must do so from the north.
During the 28-day closure, work will take place to connect the new alignment of SR 123 to SR 122, approximately 1,200 east of the existing Five Points intersection. Once the new alignment opens, local traffic will use the new connector road to access residential areas on the old section of SR 123 near the intersection.
Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place prior to the work zone to alert motorists of the upcoming road closure.
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
